Wuchang: Fallen Feathers: Forgotten Remembrance Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, your Manna Vase starts with three charges — and three charges is not enough to survive the game's later encounters.

Forgotten Remembrances are the collectibles that change that: 12 hidden items scattered across all regions of Shu, each one unlocking an additional Manna Vase charge when spent in the Impetus Repository skill tree at any Shrine.

Collecting all 12 and using every one unlocks the Overflowing Manna trophy and achievement. Every Forgotten Remembrance location is tracked on the Wuchang: Fallen Feathers interactive maps.

Forgotten Remembrances vs Lost Remains

Two separate item types upgrade the Manna Vase, tracked in two separate guides:

  • Forgotten Remembrances (12 total) — increase Maximum Charges (how many times you can heal before resting at a Shrine).
  • Lost Remains (10 total) — increase Healing Potency (how much HP each charge restores).

Both are found in large golden chests. Both are spent separately at the Impetus Repository's left-hand branch at any Shrine.

The Aurum Ancient Chisel: Required for the Final Node

All 12 Forgotten Remembrances unlock 12 charge upgrade nodes — but the final Manna Vase charge node additionally requires the Aurum Ancient Chisel.

The Chisel is dropped automatically by the mandatory Boss Fierce Tiger / Sovereign – Zhang Xianzhong at Altar Gate and cannot be missed. If the Overflowing Manna trophy fails to unlock despite finding all 12 Remembrances, check the Impetus Repository — the final node may be showing the Chisel requirement rather than a missing Remembrance.

The Aurum Ancient Chisel is also used to open one of the two Benediction Gates leading to a Forgotten Remembrance at Zhenwu Antechamber.

How to Upgrade the Manna Vase

Forgotten Remembrances are not consumed automatically. After collecting one:

  1. Visit any Shrine and open the Impetus Repository
  2. Navigate to the left-hand branch — the Manna Capacity nodes with the flask icon
  3. Spend Forgotten Remembrances to unlock each successive node

Each node requires one or more Remembrances. Some nodes also require Red Mercury Essence alongside the Remembrance.

Every Chest Is Guarded — No Exceptions

Every large golden chest containing a Forgotten Remembrance is protected by at least one significant combat encounter: a Mimic Shrine (a fake Shrine that attacks), an Elite Enemy, a Summoner with adds, or a named monster guardian.

Approach all golden chests with full health, active Tempering equipped, and Skyborn Might ready. The guide entry for each location notes the specific guardian type.

NG+ Behaviour

Forgotten Remembrances carry over to New Game Plus — any Remembrance already collected retains its upgrade permanently.

The golden chests can be reopened in NG+ but yield weapon upgrade materials instead of another Remembrance. Only chests that were missed in the previous run give a new Remembrance in NG+.

All 12 Forgotten Remembrance Locations in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers

  1. Buddha Cliffs — in the large chest at the end of the path leading to the river, accessed via the exit at the bottom of the Tang Palace Maid boss room (not the story path forward)
  2. Doomwillow Beach — at the end of the path in the chest. "Stay alert" — guarded by an enemy waiting near the chest
  3. Cloudspire Outskirts — in the chest behind the signal fire on the tower roof, guarded by a Giant-Shield Brute near the drum tent
  4. Cloudspire City — visible inside a boarded-up locked house from the street. Access by crossing the rooftops of adjacent buildings
  5. Shaft Entrance — by the locked door leading to the Shrine. Navigate the Pendulum Spike Trap tunnel, drop to the lower path, and follow it to the treasure room. The door inside opens a shortcut back to the Shrine
  6. Avian Marsh — chest guarded by a Summoner in the central cave. Defeat the Summoner before approaching
  7. Zhenwu Antechamber — chest guarded by the bird-like demon in the upper courtyard area
  8. Zhenwu Antechamber — inside the cave behind the Benediction Gate. Follow the glowing lights to the yellow gate, open it with the Aurum Ancient Chisel, and defeat the two Despair enemies inside
  9. Ruined Annalum — in the large chest near the building in the garden area
  10. Ruined Shu Sanctum — in the large chest inside the small courtyard
  11. Underground Palace — in the large chest on the wooden platform inside the tower
  12. Depths of the Capital — from the Shrine, turn 180° and follow the left path. Behind the large red Wangdi bird in the corner is the golden chest containing the final Forgotten Remembrance
